Crocus

At this time of the year, do you get eager for the arrival of spring? I certainly get impatient. Waiting for snow to melt and having no control over Mother Nature is not helping the situation. In only a few weeks I’ll be playing in the garden and loving the feel of dirt between my fingers.

Until then, here is a recent painting of a symbol of spring. It doesn’t take much colour to lift the spirits at this time of the year. Crocus aren’t the brightest blooms in the garden, but they are some of the first blooms and as a result are so welcomed.

This painting and a number of others will be at next week’s Navan Fine Arts Show. I enjoyed meeting many new people last year and can’t wait to see them again,
