Wet in wet is one of the most interesting features of painting with watercolours. This approach consists of applying wet paint to wet paper. It may sound like a lot of fun and it is, but this approach is a challenging technique because it is highly unpredictable. Some of the challenges are due to the amount of water, the thickness of paint or the timing.
The biggest advantage of wet-in-wet watercolor is that you can never know exactly what is going to happen. The fun is all about taking advantage of how paint flows and blends on paper.
These paintings will be at the Navan Fine Art Show in a couple of weeks - April 21 and 22 at the Navan Arena.
Have a great week

Here are a few paintings of landscapes using this technique. There are mainly two colours used with a touch of red.
It had been a while since I had made up scenes to this extent. These paintings will be at the Navan Fine Art Show in a couple of weeks - April 21 and 22 at the Navan Arena.
