Experimenting with new paper

During the holidays I purchased a roll of watercolour paper to allow me to paint larger paintings.  Although I knew the paper was not going to behave the same as a regular-sized sheet of Fabriano Artistico 300lbs cold press, I nevertheless wanted to try it.

This first painting on this paper will be 18' high and 36' wide when completed.

Here is what it is looking like so far. There are many many more hours that will go into this watercolour.
