Artists being innovative

With access to physical exhibits greatly reduced for artists and art classes cancelled due to COVID-19, many artists are being innovative and adapting. Numerous have turned to technology and online platforms to show their art and teach.

A number of artists have revamped their websites to strengthen their online presence, explored software to mimic galleries or better display their art in order to continue showing their work through the pandemic.   I'm sure there will be more innovation before this pandemic is over.  Although artists are making great efforts, I'd like to know if those efforts are appreciated by those who appreciate art and normally attend galleries.

Artists are also using this forced downtime to create new works for the future, experiment with new series and delve into longer-term projects. I have been focusing on two areas, improving my painting skills for topics I haven't painted in years and improving online teaching techniques that align to my coaching style.

Here are the WIP apples that I demoed to my workshop participants.

Here is a painting I completed earlier this week.

Have a great week,

Danielle
