Exciting times

Sometimes, it feels like exhibits are happening all at once.  In addition, I'm working on a few art related initiatives.

Currently, I have three paintings in the following exhibits:
  • Left: panting of drill bits, Arteast Award Winners, Promenade Gallery, Shenkman Arts Centre until November 21st - second place watercolour
  • Center: stack of wheels in AOE Selections, Trinity Art Gallery, Shenkman Arts Centre until October 17th
  • Right: hanging lanterns, Arteast Juried Award Exhibit, St Laurent Community Center until November 23th – first place watercolour

I also have a few paintings in the Big Picture Collection. This is a collective art project where people in our local area and around the world are collaborating to create a big mosaic picture from thousands of drawings.

Lastly for today, I also contributed to the Canadian Sesquicentennial Quilt. In celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, professional and amateur makers were invited to submit a quilted square to be included in the Canadian Sesquicentennial Quilt that shares their ideas and memories about their region, and of what it means to be Canadian. The quilt is on display at the Art Gallery of Burlington.

In a few weeks, I'll also be at the Nepean Fine Art League Fall Show and will have more news.

Have a great week,
Danielle
