What's the difference between workshops?

I offer a number of workshops and classes and it may be confusing as to which one to register for. Here are the different options:

Art for Affect:

  • Art for Affect is a locally owned initiative
  • The topics of these classes are simple in order to allow the participants to focus on a couple of techniques
  • These  classes are taught at the just above beginner level
  • I teach these 3-hour workshops approximately once a month and no workshop during the summer

My own workshop

  • The topics of these workshops are a bit more complex and participants learn a few techniques
  • Although these classes are taught at a beyond novice lever, participants with a bit of experience will have more success with their painting
  • These 2 or 3 day workshops are offered approximately every month.
  • There are no workshops during the summer months.
  • Written critiques are offered to participants
Kanata Art Club
  • The topics for these classes are more complex than my workshops
  • During a period of 6-weeks, participants explore the theoretical and practical aspects of the chose topic
  • Participants will complete 3 projects
  • Every week participants will have homework - need to paint on their own
  • Written and video critiques are offered to class participants for WIP and final projects
  • The selected topics  will not be taught during my own workshops.
For all classes and workshops, participants will have access to the class recordings.

As I prepare for two exhibits at the end of the month just before Mother's day, I am painting a few florals.  This first one is of a dahlia

The other flower I finished this week is a macro of a rose.

Have a creative week,

Danielle
