Being willing to be wrong

Have you ever considered if you would be more creative and better at your craft if you were freer and more willing to be wrong? Unfortunately, our obsession to get things right stems from our classroom days. Being right was rewarded, being wrong was punished. The ability to learn and discover (aka play) new approaches, or risk something in that exploration, were not exactly encouraged. These are exactly the skills required to improve your paintings.

For my last classes for Kanata Art Club -Light on Water's Edge, I focused on moving water.

This scene is from a creek coming down some of the high peaks near Mount Marcy in the Adirondacks.

The following scene is also from the Adirondacks

The above two paintings will be available at the Itty Bitty Art and Artisan Sale this coming weekend.
