Creating a painting is not assembly line work. Taking time to linger and consider where your painting is going is good. That time to ponder is probably one of the most important things in creating art. Painting a work of art is not craft work. Painting is about creating something that never existed before nor will exist again. The process of a painting will take time and be rewarding.
Each painting requires a different approach and creative process, both of which are rewarding.
In the past week, I finished my painting of an old yellow door with paint peeling. In addition it is packed and ready to go to Buckhorn Festival of the Arts on August 13 and 14th.

I originally painted this more than 5 years ago and recently repainted over it to give it more texture.
