Candies and childhood memories

As a child, I was always attracted to the bright colours of hard candies. When we went to the corner store, I used to admire them from a distance.  However, I was never fond of eating them, regardless of how pretty they might appear.

But when it comes to M&M, well those I liked and still enjoy.

This new painting of candies feels like it will be the first in a series.  I've already purchased more bright hard candies and found out how expensive "Sugar Mountain" can be ;-)

Here is my finished painting.

Hard candies appeared in our childhood home during the holidays. They were always so pretty in bowls.  Hoping your holidays are creating new memories.
